Is it common to shed hair daily even while styling my natural hair?
Im African-American. My hair is kinky, thick, and has a mind of its own. I try my best to avoid combing/picking it dry. I moisturize with Olive Oil moisturizing lotion, dampen my hair, massage my scalp, and rub my hair to evenly distribute the oil moisturizer. I shed strands here and there, everytime i do this, and maybe its just my paranoia, but is that normal? Or do i need to change my daily routine?
I also have a lot of shedding. It disturbed me at first, but when I went to the dr. about it, he said people in general shed 100 hairs per day.
So far, so good on my end, and it looks like you have a good hair regimen.
