can too much moisture break your hair?

my nieces gave me lice about 4 months ago and i had to use nix twice. after using it my hair got really dry and started to break easier so the conditioners i was using couldnt give me enough moisture, so i went to the black girl section in wal mart for a thicker conditoner. i got palmers olive oil treatment for curly or thick hair. now i have bad split ends could that be the culprit? i use it everyday and i have very long thick fine hair. should i be doing something else?

No it’s because your hair dried out in the first place. The ony thing that Palmers olive oil will do is make it greasy. Your hair won’t need as much moisture as our darker skinned sisters, their hair is a totally different texture. You need the hairdresser to give it a good trim, then wash your hair with a mild shampoo and conditioner. Baby shampoo with conditioner is good.
